From the early beginnings of washing dishes to now working a very respected Hospitality and customer service Consultant, Everton-born Peter joined the restaurant trade at the age of 17 following a move to America.
Peter started his career washing dishes in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida, and then moved to Las Vegas where he was promoted to Head Waiter at the MGM Grand.
Peter returned to the UK with a variety of experience and new found confidence that his future lay at the ‘front of the house.’ Managing and contributing to the success of restaurants had always been a dream of Peter’s.
He started as a Trainee Manager at the ‘Royal Garden Hotel’ in London and left the company as a Supervisor. Peter was hired as Assistant Manager of Babylon Restaurant at the Roof Gardens, in 2001 and went on to become General Manager.
Peter won the title of ‘UK Restaurant Manager of the Year’ at the annual Academy of Food & Wine Event. He was also the recipient of the 2014 Catey Manager of the year Award. Peter’s ambition is do his utmost to encourage young people into front–of-house careers.
